Smith & Wollensky features a live piano Monday through Saturday starting at 7:00 p.m. Pourings & Pairing Dates for 2008
Smith & Wollensky is one of the most trafficked restaurants in New York and among the most celebrated steakhouses in the world. Specializing in fresh seafood and lobster and assorted steaks and chops, Smith & Wollensky is well recognized for its healthy portions, seasoned service staff and pop Americana ambience. The surnames, Smith and Wollensky, were chosen from the local telephone directory by the restaurant's founder Alan Stillman, of T.G.I. Friday's fame. Steaks take the stage here, including the Kansas City Bone-In Sirloin, along with outstanding entrees including Salmon and Fresh Lobster. The superbly flavored and tender Prime Grade beef is dry-aged in-house for 21 days and is served with Smith & Wollensky's signature oversized steak knife. Fresh seafood and giant lobsters and poultry and lamb also take prominence on the menu. Other must-order items include Split Pea Soup and Creamed Spinach. The extensive wine list includes the best that California wine country has to offer. We have six Sommeliers on staff to help you find the perfect wine to accompany your dining experience. Smith & Wollensky has an outdoor smoking area (weather permitting) that allows you to enjoy dinner while relaxing with your favorite smoke. As the dinner crowd winds down we turn it into a smoking lounge where you can unwind and enjoy music, drinks, and our full menu of food and cigars. Join us for Brunch on our patios, where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Easton. We are open for Brunch every Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m. Some of our features include: Apple Stuffed Pancakes; Pastrami and Eggs; Grandma’s French Toast; and a Chef’s Omelet, creatively prepare by our Celebrity Chef.
What the critics say: "A Steakhouse To End All Arguments," -- Ruth Reichl, New York-Times "In just over 20 years, this East Midtown duplex has becomeentrenched as a classic NY steakhouse" with all the genre's best attributes - "melt-in-your-mouth" steaks, "sublime" wines, a "manly" ambiance and "Armani suit" crowd, plus "deafening" noise and studiously "tough waiters"; now it's branched out to other cities with equal success." -- Zagat Survey "...steak and seafood house that is clearly an institution ... wine list is quite extraordinary ... great for private parties ... a very New York joint," -- PassPort To New York "One of America's Best Steakhouse," - Wine Spectator Winner of the coveted DiRoNA award (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) Winner of Wine Spectator's Grand Award |
