Aveda - Part-Time Advisor

Position purpose: To maximize sales by helping customers select and purchase merchandise while exceeding the expectations of the customer.

Hours: Days and hours will vary based on business needs. Includes evenings and weekends.

Description of duties: Provide excellent/courteous customer service. Maintain personal sales and achieve sales goals. Help customers select and purchase merchandise. Demonstrate products on customers where applicable. Inform supervisor quickly about problems related to customer issues and/or requests. Track retail sales against goal using the system provided. Serve as a resource for general product knowledge to all customers and staff members. Communicate training needs that will result in increased sales to Store Manager. Utilize and maintain customer database for phone calls, product launches, events, and appointments in conjunction with the Company’s customer program. Identify and communicate merchandise assortment opportunities and issues to senior management. Help maintain clean, safe sales and stock areas and resolve maintenance issues on a timely basis. Communicate shortage problems and incidents to the Associate and/or Store Manager. Assist in the execution of a complete and accurate physical inventory as required. Assist in the flow of merchandise from stock areas to the selling floor in a timely and organized manner. Present and reinforce a professional appearance and maintain Company’s appearance and dress code standards at all times. Comply with all corporate policies and procedures. Attend meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned and/or required. Education/Experience Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Cosmetology license beneficial.

Experience: Some retail experience. Cosmetic experience preferred. Effort: This position requires daily use of excellent communication skills. This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials is required when restocking the floor supplies. There may be moving and setting up of displays and other events taking place in your location.
